I took this photo on January 6th, at the very moment the US Capitol riots were occurring. I was horrified, watching it on my phone while I was walking home. As I crossed the street, I looked up and saw this majestic sight in front of me. The calm, peaceful image before me was such a contrast to what was simultaneously going on in Washington DC, I had to stop and take a photo. Captured January 6th, 2021 at 4:00pm
